Will There Be Rokka No Yuusha Season 2? (Updated In 2023)

So far, Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 has not been officially announced, so there is no release date for the second season of this anime, but the question is if there will be a Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 and when it will be released.

The anime series Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers, known as Rokka no Yuusha in Japanese, is based on a successful light novel of the same name that was first published in 2011. The Rokka no Yuusha light novel series is written by Ishio Yamagata, with illustrations by Miyagi.

Rokka No Yuusha is a popular mystery fantasy anime series with action elements loved by people worldwide, which follows Adlet Mayer, a self-proclaimed “Strongest Man in the World,” who arrived at the continent of Piena in hopes of becoming one of the Brave.

The anime television series Rokka No Yuusha has only had one season so far directed by Takeo Takahashi and animated by Studio Passione. There is no word on whether the studio or director will be returning for Rokka No Yuusha s2.

The first 12-episode Rokka No Yuusha television anime series premiered in Japan in July 2015. Since then, this series has amassed a sizable fan base that is still waiting for Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 Episode 1 or some sort of sequel.

Will there be Rokka No Yuusha Season 2?

Unfortunately, Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 is unlikely to happen. If Pony Canyon had any intention of doing a second season of Rokka No Yuusha, it would have happened a long time ago. It’s been more than five years since the first season’s broadcast, and after five years, there is little interest in the series among fans, the author, or even the studio.

In the case of Rokka No Yuusha, it’s because the series was not profitable. The first season sold about 460 blu-rays on average per disk, which is terrible. The light novels sold less than 15,000 copies each volume in 2015, and even the merchandise did poorly with only 70 items and 1 figma.

There’s also the problem with light novels. The author stopped writing this series in 2015 and to this day it’s still on hiatus. There are only 6 volumes released with no sign of continuation. That’s why Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 will most likely never happen.

Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 Release Date

There is no official release date for Rokka No Yuusha Season 2 because a second season was never confirmed, canceled, or announced, so there is no countdown, and considering how poorly the sales did with the long hiatus of the light novel, it will not happen even though this series is still not finished.

I wanted to say that there is still a chance of this series getting a new season and a release date. However, after looking more into the sales and the author, I would say that it’s close to 0% in 2023. There is no point in making a second season when the author gave up on the series. If the author had writer’s block or maybe some other health issues, he should at least tell the fans.
