The Jujutsu Kaisen manga series is still ongoing in 2022. The manga is at volume 19. Gege Akutami, the author, published the latest volume in Japan on April 4, 2022.
In 2021, there were five new manga volumes released. Also, the Jujutsu Kaisen manga volume 20 release date is likely to be July 2022. It looks like this year will see fewer volumes of JJK manga.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 should have between 24 and 26 episodes. The Shibuya Incident arc is far too large for a single cour season, and I could see a split cour second season with 13 episodes for each cour.

It will take the anime three to five years to adapt all the Jujutsu Kaisen manga volumes, even if we get Jujutsu Kaisen season 3 soon after the second one.

Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 Release Date
The release date for Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 has yet to be announced, and the only thing that is confirmed is that we are getting a second season.
The second season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime release date is likely January or April 2023.
On average, after a new season gets announced, it takes around 12 to 18 months for the new season to be released.
So, the most likely release date of the Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is the first half of 2023. It will release in either the winter or spring season of anime.
Studio MAPPA has done a great job with this anime adaptation, and they will make Jujutsu Kaisen Season 2 fantastic as well.
Jujutsu Kaisen season 2 is not coming out in 2022. I see some people think it will come out this year, but there is no reason for Shueisha to rush the second season release date.
